I have trained in various systems of the combative arts and achieved the black belt level or greater after years of dedication and hard work. Along my 25 year martial arts journey a truth was revealed to me about the art of self defense that changed my life. I discovered that fighting skill and self defense skill were not one in the same. Recognizing I had focused more on fighting than self-defense, I added the pure self defense system (Vee Jitsu) to my training to balance the scales. My decision to empty my cup brought forth a renewed mind, revitalized passion for training, and deeper understanding of the term “art of self defense.”
